DEPARTMENT: Maintenance 

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor 

LOCATION: Blue Springs, MO 

JOB TYPE: Full-Time 


JOB PURPOSE: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment and physical structures following specifications, using hand tools, power tools, hoists, measuring and testing instruments; visually inspect, troubleshoot and test machinery and equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment.




• Mechanical operations -Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance
requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions. Follows all lockout/tagout procedures.
• Problem solving -Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. Troubleshoot relays, switches,
and motors.
• Parts inspection - Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers and other measuring devices.
• Preventative maintenance - Controls machine downtime by informing production workers and supervisors of routine scheduled
preventative maintenance as well as performing necessary basic maintenance.
• Equipment and parts inventory - Maintains equipment and parts by checking stock to determine inventory levels and reporting parts or supplies needed to supervisor. Sources and orders appropriate parts from vendors.
• Equipment maintenance - Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment.
• Customize machine parts - Reproduce necessary custom machine parts using various machine shop equipment and tools.
• Operate PLC equipment -PLC work on production equipment.



 High School Diploma or equivalent.  


  • Reliable employee that can work independently.
  • Reads and performs work as assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
  • Ability to follow directions and specific instructions.
  • Ability to lift, bend and stoop repeatedly during an 8-12 hour shift.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time during an 8-12 hour shift.
  • Ability to comprehend complex mechanical operations.
  • Ability to safety operate forklifts and overhead lifts.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to comply with procedures, rules, and policies.
  • Ability to contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Ability to weld and follow welding safety procedures.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate mill and lathe.


• 5+ years of experience as a mechanic on production line equipment.
• Ability to listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction.
• Good math, verbal, reasoning and organizational skills.
• Good computer skills, including diagnostic programs.
• Excellent learning and retention skills including understanding and comprehending new diagnostic processes
and programs. 


• An energetic individual with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
